Sometimes, when two transactions are linked (for example, a credit card payment from your checking account and the matching payment on the card), Puzzle can create extra journal entries that shouldn't be there. These often show up in Uncategorized Revenue or another account you didn't expect.
Journal entries can't be deleted in Puzzle. Instead, you post entries that reverse the incorrect ones.
How to fix it
Go to Transactions → Accuracy review.
Open Journal entries created in error by transaction linking.
Click Post deletion entries.
If a date window appears, choose the start date and click Resolve.
This reverses only the incorrect entries. Your transaction links, the transactions themselves and your reconciliations stay as they are.
Don't unlink or recategorize
If the transactions are linked correctly, leave them linked. The link is right; only the extra journal entry is wrong. Unlinking or recategorizing doesn't remove those entries and can create new problems.
If you don't see this section in Accuracy review, or you're not sure whether an entry is one of these, message us in chat with the journal entry number or a screenshot.
