Managing Your Team
The Team tab is your central hub for adding staff members and managing their permissions within your firm.
Inviting New Members
To add a new member to your firm:
Navigate to the Team tab.
Click on New users.
Enter the user's email address.
Select the Companies you want them to access.
Set their Permission Level for those specific companies:
Full access: Complete access to all company features.
Partial access: Can work in the books but can't view company and user settings or remove integrations.
Limited access: View-only; can't change data.
Client access: View-only with some screens hidden, for clients who won't be bookkeeping.
Admin Portal Access: Use the toggle at the bottom if you want this user to be able to manage the firm’s administrative settings.
Click Send invitation.
📓 New invites will appear in the "Pending" section of the Team page until the user accepts.
Updating Permissions
You can modify a user's access at any time once they have accepted their invitation. Click the three dots next to the user and choose View user details or Edit company access.
Client Management
The Companies page gives you a bird’s-eye view of your firm’s portfolio.
View Authorized Users: See which team members are currently assigned to a specific client account.
Modify Access: Quickly add or revoke access for firm members on a per-client basis.
User Groups
To streamline workflows, you can create User Groups (e.g., "Bookkeeping Team" or "Customer Success").
Purpose: Groups allow you to assign multiple team members to client accounts simultaneously rather than adding individuals one by one.
Privacy: You can choose whether these groups are anonymized or visible, depending on your firm's preference for client interaction.
Resources & Support
Under Resources in the left sidebar you'll find:
Accountant resources: Access documentation and help guides.
Demo: Use the built-in demo to showcase Puzzle’s capabilities to prospective clients or new team members.
Product announcements appear at the top of the Team page.
