Sometimes you will notice an asterisk next to the dollar value of some transactions.

This is to indicate these are manual transactions added via either 1) a manual journal entry or 2) a manual bill or invoice upload.

Another easy way to locate manual transactions is under the Transaction tab by filtering for Manual Transactions out outlined below.
