Transferring Ending FRB Balance to Chase

If you had First Republic Bank account, your balance was transferred to Chase on May 24, 2024. You will need to make sure that the balance is also transferred in Puzzle.

If on the Dashboard page in Puzzle you see a First Republic Bank balance after May, then you will need to follow these steps to transfer the balance over.

Go to the Transactions page and select "Import Transactions" in the top right (1)

From the Add Transaction popup select your First Republic Bank account from the drop down (2)

Add in the required information:

Date: 5/24/24

Amount: negative FRB ending balance (available on Puzzle Dashboard)

Description: FRB Transfer to Chase

Category: Bank Transfer in Transit: Clearing

*it is important to note that the amount will need to be negative*

You will then be able to post the transaction.

After you post the first transaction, repeat the same steps above. However, this time you will select you Chase bank account from the dropdown and add in the positive FRB ending balance.

This will transfer the balance between the accounts and update your FRB balance to $0 and move the money into your Chase account.

Removing Duplicate Transactions

As part of the transfer process it is possible that Chase duplicated some of the FRB transactions. To ensure duplicate transactions do not exist, follow these steps.

Navigate to the Integrations page and select "Manage Integration" next to the Chase account.

From the side pane select "Set Restricted Range" (1)

Select the custom date option and input 5/24/24 (2)

Make sure to check the box for "Update Historical Data" to remove any duplicate transactions

*Note this only needs to be done for the new Chase account*
