In your Stripe account, make sure all Subscription billings are set up as:
Subscription invoice in Stripe, or
Invoice with a service duration period. Automated Revenue Recognition features will not be available for Stripe invoice items that do not have a service period.
How to set up a Stripe subscription product
1. Log into Stripe dashboard.
2. Select Billing.
3. Select Subscriptions.
4. Select Choose your pricing model > Create pricing > to get to Add a Product. Do not select usage-based pricing.
5. Create a Subscription under Product information.
Do not select “Usage is metered.”
Make sure pricing is set as Recurring (Monthly, Quarterly, Annually, etc).
6. Double-check that the service duration for the product is accurate.
7. Click Save Product.
How to set up a Stripe invoice with a service duration period
Log into the Stripe dashboard.
Select Billing.
Select Invoices.
4. Click Create Invoice.
5. Enter Customer.
6. In Items, select a Subscription Product and enter the price.
7. In Supply Date, select the date range for the duration of the invoice.
